임천 임씨 (林川林氏)

시조(始祖) : 임몽주(林夢周)

  시조는 임몽주(夢周). 임팔급(林八及)이 도시조(都始祖)이며 평택 임씨(平澤林氏)에서 분파되었다.
  시조의 사적이나 본관의 유래 등에 대해서는 알 수 없고 다만 임천임씨를 평택임씨 진사공파(進士公派)로 전하는 문헌도 있다.
