김포 정씨 (金浦鄭氏)

시조(始祖) : 정응문(鄭應文)

  시조 정응문(應文)은 김포 출신으로 1126년(인종 4) 사신으로 금나라에 가서 군신의 의를 맺고 돌아왔으며, 1128년 어사중승으로 남계 선무사(南界宣撫使)가 되어 남해안(南海岸) 일대에 봉기한 도적을 진압할 때 좌성(佐成) 등 해적 828명이 투항해 오자 합천(陜川) 삼기현(三岐縣)에 귀원장(歸原場)·취안장(就安場), 진주(晋州) 의령현(宜寧縣)에 화순장(和順場)을 설치하여 이들을 살도록 했다.
  그러나 문헌이 실전되어 그의 선계를 알 수 없으므로 후손들이 그를 시조로 하고 시조의 요람지인 김포를 본관으로 삼고 있다.
