황보인 (皇甫仁)
[ 1387(우왕 13) ~ 1453(단종 1) ]
자는 사겸(四兼)·춘경(春卿),
호는 지봉(芝峰).
지중추원사 황보림(琳)의 아들이다.
1414년(태종14)
친시문과에 급제하고, 세종 때 여러관직을 거쳐 1440년 평안·함길도
체찰사가 된 후 약 10년간에 걸쳐 절제사 김종서(金宗瑞)와 함께 6진을
개척했다. 그 후 좌·우찬성, 우의정을 거쳐
1452년(문종
2)
영의정이 되어 단종을 보좌하다가 1453년(단종 1) 계유정난 때 수양대군에게
살해되고, 두아들과 손자도 함께 화를 입었다.
