권제 (權蹄)
[ 1387년 ~ 1445년 ]
호는
지재(止齎), 시호는 문경(文景).
권근의 둘째 아들이다.
태종 때 집현전 부제학, 한성부윤을
지내고, 1429년 세종 때 명나라에 진헌사로 다녀와 경기도 관찰사가
되었다. 1435년 이조판서에 승진, 1436년 '동국연대'를 편찬하고, 다음해에
예조판서를 지내고, 지중추원사, 지춘추원사 등을 지냈다. 1440년 '고려사'
편찬에 참여, 1445년(세종 27)우찬성이 되어 정인지, 안지 등과 함께
'용비어천가'를 지어 왕에게 바치였다.
