고려&조선의 문신 자는
백공 호느 어촌
창원백 공소(紹)의 손자
어러서부터
정몽주, 이색 등과 사귀었으며, 1376년(우왕 2) 문과에 급제하여 전의
부령, 예조 총랑을 거쳐 집현전 태학사를
지냈고, 조선 개국 후 문서응봉사, 별감 제조, 검교한성부윤을 거쳐 보문각제학에 이르렀다.
1416년(태종 16) 천추사로 명나라에 갔다가 그곳에서 객사했다.
