진주 최씨 (晋州 崔氏)

시조(始祖) : 최서림

시조는 최서림으로 최치원(致遠, 경주 최씨(慶州崔氏)의 시조)의 후손이며, 조선 현종 때 참봉에 제수되었으나 거절하였다.   문헌이 없어 자세한 내용은 알 수 없다.   후손들이 경주최씨에서 분적하여 최연해(崔連海)를 중시조로 삼고 벽제공파(碧濟公派)를 이루어 대를 이어 왔다.
