강릉훈도를 자원해 나갔다. 그 후 사성, 집의, 승문원 참교, 이조와
호조의 참의, 동부승지, 충청도 관찰사, 경주부윤 등을 역임하고 1495년(연산 1)
대사헌이 되었다. 1499년 동지성균관사가 되어
1502년 한성부 좌윤에
이어 공조, 형조, 병조의 참판을 지냈다.
